CALBIGA, Samar- Samar Provincial Nutrition Focal Point (PNFP) of the National Nutrition Council Region 8, Ms. Irene F. Dagami, conducted an orientation on Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program among Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs).

Present during the orientation were the two ARBO presidents and some of its members. Calbiga Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Ms. Evelyn Piscos-Jabonete, Municipal Agrarian Reform Officer and staff also joined the activity.

Dagami also discussed the salient features of the Marketing Agreement (MA) such as role and responsibilities of the partners.

For his part Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr. explained to the ARBOs that should there be challenges along the implementation of the TK-DSP to iron at the level of implementers and the PNFP and to the RNPC.

He told the ARBOs that the feeding program is one of the effective interventions in the fight against malnutrition. It will also boost the income of farmers and vegetable producers, he added.
