PALO, Leyte - The Provincial Government of Samar through its Provincial Nutrition Evaluation Team (PNET) honors top performing local government units (LGUs) and nutrition workers or local nutrition focal point in a ceremony dubbed Pasidungong ha Nutrisyon in during the 2022 Samar Provincial Nutrition Summit last July 21, 2022.

Pasidungog ha Nutrisyon is a local term meaning to give honor in the field of nutrition.

Completing the LGUs awardees during the Pasidungog ha Nutrisyon for participating in the MELLPI PRO conducted by the PNET are the municipalities of Basey, Calbiga, Daram, Jiabong, Marabut, Matuguinao, Pagsanghan, Paranas, Pinabacdao, San Jose de Buan, Sta. Margarita, Sta. Rita, San Sebastián, Tarangnan, Villarreal and Zumarraga.

The LGU awardees were given certificates, plaque of appreciation and cash price for nutrition workers awardees. The awards were handed over by Provincial Governor Sharee Ann Tan, Vice Governor Arnold Tan and NNC 8 Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr.
