PALO, Leyte - Dialogue also happens while standing and at any time, taking every opportunity especially among busy local leaders. A case in point when Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr., the regional nutrition program coordinator, doing his nutrition advocacies with Samar Governor Sharee Ann Tan.

Dr. Dotollo reiterated to Gov. Sharee Ann Tan regarding the need to create nutrition office and permanent nutrition plantilla positions in most LGUs in Samar like that of her own province. The governor vowed to help NNC on that aspects as her administration will focus in nutrition, health and sanitation.

Meantime, Dotollo also informed the governor of the incoming Philippine Multi-sectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP). Eastern Visayas has the most number of covered municipalities under the project totaling to 70 LGUs. Of the 70 LGUs, 21 municipalities are from Samar. He asked the governor to help in its social preparations.

He also sought the help of the governor to retain the current City Nutrition Action Officer of Calbayog City. New Calbayog City mayor is a political ally of the governor. She scheduled a meeting with the CNAO of Calbayog City to iron out things with the mayor.

The NPC is hopeful that with the alliance of the governor and the city mayor of Calbayog, nutrition programs in the city will flourished. She will ask the CNAO to provide quick wins and long-term plans on nutrition in the city. #RNPC-CPD
