PALO, Leyte – The National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region 8 joined the Annual Stakeholders’ Review on Maternal Nutrition and Child Health (MNCH) at Summit Hotels Tacloban City last December 8-9, 2022.

The activity was organized by World Vision in partnership with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Department of Health.

This Program spans four provinces in the region, namely Leyte and Easter Samar and has recently expanded to Western Samar and Northern Samar.

Health care workers and heads of offices from the different Local Government Units (LGU), including representatives from the National Nutrition Council Region 8 attended as participants to the event.

The MNCH program is aimed at reducing the number of maternal and infant death through the delivery of quality and timely Health and Nutrition Services and complements the Early Childhood Care and Development First 1000 Days Program (ECCD F1K) of the government. #DMOII-IFD
