PALO, Leyte – Dr. Nino Archie Labordo, a former Nutrition Officer and Officer-in-Charge of Caraga Region, get the nod as full-fledged Nutrition Program Coordinator (NPC.

This was announced by no less than the Assistant Secretary and Executive Director IV Dr. Azucena Milana-Dayanghirang. Its appointment paper was inked during the 4th quarter Management Conference series of 2022 last December 13, 2022.

The appointment signing was witnessed by the entire Management Committee members composed of Deputy Executive Directors, Nutrition Program Coordinators/Officers-in-Charge and Division Chiefs.

The NPC of the NNC is equivalent to Regional Director of other regional line agencies in terms of salaries, perks and scope of work. Dr. Labordo’s appointment came after his birthday and early Christmas gift from the said agency.

Dr. Labordo’s career can be rooted back during his stint as administrative staff of the office of the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Director.

His work at NEDA ended when the position of NO III in NNC 8 was vacant. He subsequently was appointed NO III of NNC 8. After his four years as NO III of Region 8, he was assigned as OIC-NPC of Caraga Region.

As fate would favor him, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) approved the opening of permanent plantilla position of the region including among others the position of NPC.

After one year of being OIC-NPC his sacrifice bear fruit as he was finally appointed as NPC of Caraga.

There can be no prouder of his current appointment but the entire Eastern Visayas nutrition networks. #RNPC-CPD
