NCRTeambuilding201306 December, San Pablo City, Laguna – The NNC-NCR Family had its one-day teambuilding activity at Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort, an 800-hectares of self-contained working coconut plantation and hacienda located 10 kilometres south of the city of San Pablo, Laguna province on the border with Quezon province.

The annual teambuilding activity aims to strengthen camaraderie and working relationship among the official and staff of the NNC-NCR regional office. The group took a much deserved breather from work and enjoyed nature. Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort boasts of being a showcase for the Philippine’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. The teambuilding also served as an opportunity for the NNC-NCR family to appreciate the rich Philippine culture through the tour of the resort’s museum that showcases an extensive collection of religious icons, natural history and ethnographic dioramas, ethnic and national costumes, household furniture, weaponry, oriental ceramics, coins and many other items of interest that were collected from the travels around the world of the resort’s owners.

The next stop was the Waterfalls Restaurant where diners eat lunch in front of the resort’s man-made waterfalls and their feet submerged into inches of clear water. The group spent bonding moments and had fun taking in the beauty of nature while eating a sumptuous Filipino lunch. After lunch, the group together with the other guests of the resort watched the Philippine Experience Show that features the very rich and colourful history of our country through folk dance accompanied by live folk music.

The NNC-NCR family had the opportunity to spend quality time and reflect on the value of teamwork. The day ended with the group’s realization that they should strive to have a balance in their lives, find time to relax and unwind and take comfort in nature to renew their strength to conquer the daily tasks and challenges, not only in the workplace but also in the other areas of their lives.
