Functions of National Nutrition Council at the National Capital Region
The regional office of National Nutrition Council in NCR acts as the Secretariat of the RNC. The office is manned by the Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator, Nutrition Officer III, Nutrition Officer II, Nutrition Officer I, (2) Administrative Aide VI and a driver. It is the coordinating body for nutrition in the region. Its functions include:
1. Providing technical and management support in the implementation of nutrition program at the regional and sub-regional levels

2. Ensuring operationalization of PPAN at all levels;

3. Coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of PPAN; and

4. Taking the lead in nutrition advocacy and resource generation and mobilization.
