Mr. Dwi Kristatto from Indonesia and Ms. Saybah Jackson from Liberia, students of Masters in Professional Studies on Food and Nutrition Planning (MPS-FNP) in UPLB visited NNC-NCR on April 22, 2016 as part of their 32-hour practicum at the National Nutrition Council.

Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Milagros Elisa V. Federizo and Nutrition Officer III Emerenciana L. Francia oriented the students on the operationalization of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) and other policies and programs at the regional and sub-national levels.  They were familiarized on the regional nutrition situation, coordinating structures for the Philippine Plan for Action for Nutrition (PPAN), Regional Nutrition Committee Strategic Plan, inter-agency coordination, and other aspects of nutrition program management at the regional and local levels. 

They also visited Mandaluyong City where they were warmly welcomed by the members of the Nutrition Committee of the city and that of Barangay Pag-asa. BNC Chair and Barangay Captain Tracy Rhoy R. Domingo shared with them how they plan and manage their nutrition programs and projects while BNS Mary Grace Tamayo oriented them on her tasks and functions as well as her documentation of activities. Both Mr. Kris and Ms. Seybah expressed their appreciation of the hospitality accorded to them by NNC-NCR and Mandaluyong City.
