The National Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (NNAC) was held on 04 November 2010 at the Reception Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center. The NNAC was done once a year to recognize the country’s “best of the best” in nutrition program implementation. Eighteen (18) awardees were emerged from a nationwide selection process. One of the awardees is Taguig City.

Challenged with ensuring food supply and proper nutrition for its populace, Taguig pursues a number of programs including the:

• Establishment of home-yard vegetable gardening
• Global Kusina Program
• Conduct of Pabasa sa Nutrition in ten barangays
• Establishment of breastfeeding station
• Taguig City claims to its first CROWN award
• Airing of nutrition and health messages, through DWFT-Taguig Radio Station manned by Mr. Jun "Dr. Love" Banaag

The City lays its first claim to its first CROWN Award and received a cash prize of 250,000 and a CROWN trophy.
