The NAOs are designated or permanent functionaries of local government units who assist the local chief executives in the day-to-day management and coordinative needs of the local Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN). It was in 2010 when NNC-NCR led by Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Milagros Elisa V. Federizo took the initiative in organizing the NAOs in Metro Manila. The Association of NAOs in NCR was registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2012.
