The deliberation meeting is an important process of the MELLPI Pro. During the meeting, final scores of the LGUs and LNFPs – NAO, C/MNPC and BNS were presented by Nutrition Officer III Emerenciana L. Francia. The RNET carefully discussed and reviewed the results to determine the outstanding LGU/s in the region to receive the 2019 Green Banner (GB) Award as well as the outstanding LNFPs. An LGU must have a minimum final score of 85% to qualify for the GB Award. On the other hand, the highest-ranking NAO, C/MNPC and BNS in the region with an overall rating of at least 90% were declared as the region’s Nutrition Action Officer of the Year, Local Nutrition Program Coordinator of the Year and Regional Outstanding BNS. These outstanding LNFPs will have the chance to represent the region in the national evaluation.

Aside from the main awards, the RNET also decided to give special awards to LGUs who excelled in their performance in specific areas of nutrition program implementation per dimension of the MELLPI Pro Tool.

National Nutrition Council – NCR’s Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Milagros Elisa Federizo thanked all the members who participated in the first ever blended mode of the MELLPI Pro.

“There were a lot of challenges encountered because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But due to the commitment of all members of the RNET, we were able to conduct the 2021 MELLPI Pro successfully,” RNPC Federizo said.
