The City/District Nutrition Program Coordinators (C/DNPC) of Metro Manila Association held its first meeting for the year to plan for activities for 2022. The meeting, held on January 13, 2022, was well attended by representatives from the 17 LGUs in Metro Manila. It was presided by Association President, Ms. Joann Espiritu assisted by Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Milagros Elisa Federizo and Nutrition Officer II Theresa Rivas.
After the successful conduct of the two-day online regional conference held on December 2-3, 2021 via zoom, the Association decided to again conduct its annual conference this year virtually, if face-to-face large gathering is still not feasible. During the meeting, the results of the conference evaluation were discussed and used as basis in identifying factors that contributed to the success of the conference and how future conferences can be further improved.
Other activities lined up for this year include:
- Regular meetings
- Capacity Building for members of NCR Breastfeeding Friends (BFF)
- Printing of C/DNPC ID and handbook
- Enrolment to Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)
- Income Generating Project
- Continuous provision of medical and retirement benefits, and survivorship assistance
- Teambuilding/Fellowship activity for all members
The Association will also renew this year its PRC Accreditation as CPD Provider to be able to continuously conduct continuing professional development activities for its members and non-members who are allied professionals.
RNPC Federizo noted that teamwork and good camaraderie among the officers and board members helped the Association achieve success in many of its undertakings in 2021. She hopes that the group will continue to work together in making the Association more cohesive and active this year.
“Sa lahat ng board of directors, sa inyong patuloy na cooperation and commitment, mas marami pa tayong activities na magagawa para sa Association,” President Espiritu said in her closing message.
The Association looks forward to having more success and accomplishments this 2022 amid the pandemic!
