The Federation of Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) of NCR, Inc. through its Officers and Board Members mapped out their plans for the year during their first meeting held on January 10, 2023 at the NNC Boardroom, Taguig City.

The meeting was presided by NNC-NCR Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Milagros Elisa Federizo and attended by 26 BNSs from the 17 local government units in NCR except for San Juan City.

Topics discussed were: 1) Processing of the 2022 BNS Regional Conference; 2) Conduct of OPT Plus; 3) Updates on the BNS Program - Hiring and deployment, BNS Benefits and BNS Kits; and 4) Planning for the induction of new officers and activities of the Federation in 2023. Ex-officio Ms. Grace Tamayo also reported the discussion and agreements during the Joint National Association Meeting held on November 21, 2022.

Activities of the Federation for 2023 include regular meetings, regional conference, learning visit and teambuilding, and outreach activity, among others. The induction of new officers will also be conducted within the first quarter together with the other regional organizations of city/municipal and barangay nutrition action officers, and city/municipal nutrition program coordinators.

With its new set of officers for CY 2023-2025 under the leadership of Mandaluyong City BNS Mary Ann Morada Morada, the NNC-NCR looks forward to a fruitful and productive year for the Federation.
