rnet re-orientation6-7 March 2015 – The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) members refreshed their assessment skills during the Re-Orientation on Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) tools held at the Greenhills Elan Hotel Modern, San Juan City. As part of the preparation for the upcoming MELLPI, the RNET members together with RNPC Santiago and NNC-Calabarzon staff reviewed the steps of MELLPI, Search for Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar (ROBNS), Search for Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC) and Search for Regional Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) through a practicum workshop.

The participants were divided into two groups wherein they simulated an actual MELLPI activity in a local governm
ent unit. Documents of the Sta. Rosa City Nutrition Committee were provided to the participants for the MELLPI together with the files of Barangay Tagapo and Pulong Sta. Cruz nutrition committees. On the other hand, records of the City Outstanding BNS Menue Batitis were given for the BNS evaluation. After the practicum, the issues and concerns of each RNET were discussed. Necessary agreements were settled for a uniform conduct of evaluation.

Aside from the workshop, the Revised Criteria for the Search for Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC) and Search for Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) was done. Lastly, proper weight measurement, computation of age in months and determination of nutritional status were also done to fully equip the RNET for the upcoming evaluation scheduled on March 10 to June 11, 2015.
