QUEZON CITY, 21 December – Last 15 December 2020, an Executive Order signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte approving the extension of government service of Dr. Eduardo C. Janairo beyond the compulsory retirement age, as Director IV of the Department of Health (DOH) – Calabarzon for another six months was received by the regional line agency.

Based in the Facebook post of Philippine Information Agency - Calabarzon last 17 December 2020, RD Dr. Janairo stated that “I welcome the privilege to serve the government again. Nagpapasalamat ako sa ating Presidente, kay Presidente Duterte, sa binigay nyang suporta at pagtitiwala sa aking kakayahan upang patuloy na maisulong ang iba’t-ibang program na atin ng naumpisahan sa Calabarzon.”

Dr. Janairo also added that, “Six months will pass quickly and we need to create impact programs that will have a solid effect to our people. Gaya ng sabi ng ating Presidente, kailangan ang serbisyo ng ating gobyerno ay nararamdaman, nararanasan at walang naiiwanan. Lahat dapat makinabang, mayaman man o mahirap,”

Dr. Janairo retired last 20 November 2020 serving the DOH for 38 years and has served as a Chair of the Calabarzon Regional Sub Committee on Nutrition (RSCN) from 2018 to 2020, ably ensuring the implementation of the Regional Plan of Action for Nutrition (RPAN) 2017-2022 to protect and promote the nutritional wellbeing of the people in Calabarzon, especially the vulnerable population.
