Quezon City, January 18, 2021. NNC-Calabarzon recently distributed the certificates of completion and provisions to the first wave (Batch 1 and 2) “Nutrition in Emergencies-Information Management (NiE-IM) e-learning course” graduates of Region IV-A.
The supplies given away include one OTG USB per student, mobile load card allowance, and Internet Modem and external hard drive per LGU. Other provisions to be disbursed later are: a height board, a weighing scale, NiE-IM Manual and nutrition assessment tools. The materials will greatly assist the graduates in applying the course learnings in their respective LGUs
With deep appreciation for the best efforts to finish the course, the certificates of completion were awarded by Ms. Carina Santiago, NNC-Calabarzon Nutrition Program Coordinator, together with the resource persons in the course: Ms. Jellie Anne Palencia, ND IV of DOH4A, Ms. Maria Victoria Reyes, ND II of DOH4A and Ms. Joan Marie Pedron.
The LGU representatives who received the certificates were: Ms. Elizabeth Hernandez, CNAO (Dasmariñas City); Ms. Aleli Catalina Jimenez, CNAO (Calamba City); Ms. Helen Peñalba, PNAO (Cavite Province) and Ms. Camille Anne Castañeda, NDDP (Cavite Province); Ms. Marietta Dogelio, CNPC (Tagaytay City) ; and a representative from Tanauan City.
One of the graduates Ms. Lilibeth Ramos, CNAO (Tanauan City) of Batch 1, shared her sentiments in the event. She said, ““Thankful po kami sa NiE-IM materials, lalo na sa external drive na magagamit po namin sa storage ng data at reports. Thank you so much po sa NNC” (“We are very thankful to NiE-IM materials, particularly the external drive because we can use it as data and report repository. Thank you so much NNC”).
Sincere gratitude was also expressed by Ms. Dessa May Rey-Alibangbang, DNPC (Cavite Province) of Batch 1. She remarked, “Thank you po sa mga materials na pinadala sa amin. This will be very helpful especially now that we are more reliant/dependent on internet.” (“Thank you for the NiE-IM materials you provide us. This will be very helpful especially now that we are more reliant/dependent on internet”).
Another heartfelt acknowledgment was shared by Ms. Aleli Catalina Jimenez, Nutrition Officer IV/CNAO (Calamba City) of Batch 2. She mused, “Attending the NiE-IM eLearning course and finishing it in six and a half weeks was tremendously an insightful and informative course for us. I do appreciate the efforts done by the NNC CaLaBaRZon as well as the resource speakers in every module.”
In addition, Ms. Jimenez said, “I was indeed impressed on how it was carried out in this time of COVID-19 pandemic. I was overwhelmed when I received the Certificate of Completion for the training because I thought I would not be able to go through with it, given the bulk of the readings and the homework that we have to accomplish and submit. Much more to our surprise, we were all grateful for the incentives we received. Thank you NNC CaLaBaRZon for the knowledge shared and imparted to us and helping us realize our new journey through the incentives given to us.”
The other certificates will be distributed soon to the rest of the graduates. Meanwhile, the NNC Regional Office vehicle was used to deliver the NiE-IM materials and the other IEC materials to Laguna Province.
