The municipality of Sariaya, Quezon recently conducted capacity building activities for their 31 Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs) to further improve the reporting and monitoring of the F1K programs in their barangays.
The activities include the training on “Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days Online Reporting System (ECCD F1K RS).” The training is a tracking tool to process real-time accomplishments on the ECCD F1K Program.
In addition, the training is also an intervention to perform NNC’s mandate as agency focal point for the multi-agency ECCD F1K programs -- and to assist in the National Nutrition Information System (pursuant to Republic Act 11037, Section 6, otherwise known as the “Masustansyang Pagkain Para sa Batang Pilipino Act.”)
Each module presented in the training provides a step-by-step procedure in using the tracking tool, from “logging in” to the system up to “entering and generating” of data. Through the video presentations and discussions, the participants will be able to practice the use of the system through hands-on exercises using the “F1K RS account” of their barangays.
Enhancing the knowledge and skills of nutrition workers with the use of accurate and timely recording and reporting of data will help in improving the nutrition programs and in ensuring its sustainability.
