This year and month marks the first virtual meeting of the District/City/Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator’s Association of the Philippines (D/C/MNPCAP) CaLaBaRZon, Inc., thru the leadership of Ms. Carina Z. Santiago, RNPC, and in collaboration with Ms. Marietta Dogelio, D/CNPC President of Tagaytay City,
A total of 47 D/C/MNPCs from 12 cities, 4 provinces and 6 municipalities all over Calabarzon participated in the event. They are the cities of Bacoor, Tagaytay, Dasmariñas, Imus, Calamba, San Pablo, San Pedro, Santa Rosa, Biñan, Batangas, Cabuyao and Antipolo, the provinces of Cavite, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon, and the municipalities of Alfonso, Tanza, Cuenca, Balayan, Jomalig, Pililla and Rodriguez.
The meeting was convened to discuss plans and schedules for year 2021 specifically on: the conduct of MELLPI Pro; the issues and concerns on eOPT Plus; and other organizational concerns which includes the election/fillip up of vacant positions, and oath-taking of new officers and committee heads/members.
Among the agreements are for NNC4A to facilitate a provincial orientation on MELLPI Pro for the Provincial Nutrition Evaluation Teams and Local Nutrition Action Officers/ Local Nutrition Program Coordinators in Calabarzon. Furthermore, the eOPT Plus tool is expected to be uploaded in the official webpage of NNC Central Office in the same month.
In line with the organizational concerns, it was agreed to finally include the Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinators (MNPCs) in the Association, and to revise and finalize the Constitution and By-Laws to include the MNPCs in the association’s logo, name, and list of members.
Furthermore, D/C/NPCAP Secretary, Adoracion Dedicatoria will facilitate SEC registration by next month, while the officers and board members will conduct another virtual meeting to discuss plans on the provision of assistance to retired and promoted members as one of the benefits of the association members.
The new set of officers for C.Y. 2020-2022 include: CNPC Marietta Dogelio (Tagaytay City, President); DNPC Dessa May Alibangbang (Cavite Province, Vice President); CNPC Adoracion Dedicatoria (Cabuyao City, Secretary); CNPC Hazel Marionne Tomas (Cabuyao City, Assistant Secretary); CNPC Perlita Castrillo (Sta. Rosa City, Treasurer); CNPC Leonesa Almarinez (Biñan City, Assistant Treasurer): DNPC Cynthia Lacaba (Batangas Province, Auditor); DNPC Marie Claire Miranda (Rizal Province, PRO); and DNPC Joan Maricel Decena (Quezon Province, PRO).
During the virtual meeting, the officers, board members and committee chairperson/members, lifted their hands to virtually solemnly swear that they will fulfill all the duties and responsibilities of the association.
Lastly, RNPC Carina Santiago gratefully congratulated all the Board Members and Committee Chairperson/Members and thanked all the participants for their active participation.
