The National Nutrition Council Region IV-A, headed by OIC-NPC Ma. Eileen B. Blanco, organized a consultative meeting for Municipal Nutrition Action Officers (MNAOs) for the province of Quezon on 11 January 2012 at the Center for Health Development (CHD), QMMC, Project 4, Quezon City. Discussed during the meeting is the forthcoming conduct of Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) barangay trainings for the remaining 50% of barangays targeted in Quezon. These trainings are scheduled to be conducted from January to May 2012. Trainings for the 1st 50% barangays of the province were conducted September to October 2011. These IYCF barangay trainings aims to equip health workers in barangays particularly Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Day Care Workers (DCWs) and volunteer mothers among others on promotion of good nutrition, particularly on exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding.

Likewise, election of officers was conducted for the Nutrition Action Officers Association for Quezon province. Below are the elected officers for the said association.
