The Institute of Human Nutrition and Food, College of Human Ecology (IHNF-CHE) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, Laguna conducted the pre-testing of the Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) Tool to assess the training programs on the Nutrition Program Management (NPM) and Basic Course for Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs). This was held at the College of Human Ecology Research and Extension Center (CHE-REC) Training Room last 15 September 2011.
The RBME Tool pre-testing was attended by representatives from NNC-Central Office, NNC-National Capital Region, and NNC-Region IV. Local government units (LGUs) of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Marinduque, Muntinlupa and Taguig were also invited to attend the activity. Each participant filled up the RBME Tool template corresponding to the provided encoding guide. The criteria stated in the template were commented by the participants to further enhance the monitoring tool.
Prof. Ma. Theresa M. Talavera, Project Leader and Director of the IHNF-CHE presented the overview on the pre-testing of the RBME Tool. The over-all program was facilitated by Prof. Angelina R. Bustos, Assistant Project Leader and Assistant Professor, IHNF-CHE; Prof. Aileen R. de Juras, Assistant Professor, IHNF-CHE; Prof. Mayo Grace C. Ambit, Assistant Professor of the Institute of Development Management and Governance, College of Public Affairs; and Prof. Nancy A. Tandang, Assistant Professor, Institute of Statistics, College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Sue Liza C. Saguitguit, the Dean of the College of Human Ecology was also present and gave the welcome message during the program.
