The 2013 Joint Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony of Regions IV-A and IV-B held at the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City on 6 December 2013, honored men, women and local government units in Region IV, for their dedication, passion and contribution in the field of nutrition. The 2013 RNAC was aptly called “Ang Parangal”. The annual awarding ceremony is one of the most awaited moments among key players who have given exemplary performance in the implementation of various nutrition programs at the local level. The recognition was given to the following:

The regional awardees were given green banners, plaques, certificate of recognition plus cash prizes. RNPC Carina Z. Santiago (NNC IV-A), Former Region IV RNPC Ms. Alicia C. Ramos, CHD IV-A Assistant Regional Director Corazon I. Flores, and RD Josefina Castilla-Go of DILG were among the award presenters.
The awarding was attended by more than 300 participants including the local chief executives of Calabarzon namely: Governor Jeorge “ER” Ejercito-Estregan (Chair, PNC of Laguna), Mayor Arlene Arcillas (Chair, CNC of Sta. Rosa City), Mayor Marlyn Alonte-Naguiat (Chair, CNC of Biñan City), Mayor Justin Marc SB. Chipeco (Calamba City), Mayor Jose Mendoza (Chair, CNC of Atimonan, Quezon) and Mayor Teodora Adao Jr. (Chair, CNC of Kalayaan, Laguna); SP/SB Members; Barangay Chairmen; Provincial/City/Municipal Nutrition Action Officers (P/C/MNAOs); District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators (D/CNPCs); Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) and the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET); Communicator’s Network for Nutrition in Region IV-A (CNN 4A) and; officers of the Federation of Barangay Nutrition Scholars in Region IV-A (FBNS IV-A) Inc.
The awardees hope to serve as role models and inspiration to the rest of the local government units and BNSs in the region to rekindle their desire to perform extraordinarily well and be among the best among the nutrition champions.
