27 December 2012 – a joint P/CNAOs and FBNS IV-A Inc. 4th quarter meeting was held at the Conference Room, CHD IV-A Bldg., Project 4, Quezon City. The meeting was attended by the Nutrition Action Officers (NAOs) from various provinces and cities of CALABARZON and the regional BNS federation officers and board members, Dr. Ephraim Rubiano of Agham Party List and NNC CALABARZON headed by RNPC Carina Z. Santiago and staff.

FBNS IV-A Inc. President Ms. Karen C. Ballonado of Tagaytay City led in the discussion on significant organizational concerns that need to be settled before the year ends including the proposed ammendments of the FBNS, Inc. Constitution and by-laws, proposed benefits of federation members; committee structure, and plans for the conduct of the FBNS IV-A Inc. team building in January 2013 and the 1st Regional BNS Congress in July 2013.

President Ballonado also gave feedback on the agreements made during the National BNS Federation (NaBNSFed), Inc. meeting she attended on 19 September 2012 at the Orchid Hotel, Malate, Manila. She mentioned that their term of office as national BNS officers was extended until 2015. She suggested that all elected federation officers and board members at the regional and local level to hold the same term of office. She also informed the group that NNC will have its search for the “Longest Serving BNS” which is open to all BNS who have been serving for 25 years or more.
The said meeting was also a chance for the group to meet Dr. Ephraim C. Rubiano of the Agham Party List who delivered a short message expressing in behalf of Congressman Angelo Palmones their commitment to support the BNSs in CALABARZON. Dr. Rubiano and the NAOs gave suggestions and recommendations on some issues discussed during the said meeting.
FBNS IV-A Inc. will have its team building on 22-23 January 2013 at the Tesoro Farm and Resort in Bay, Laguna. The two-day activity aims to foster camaraderie and reinforcement of the team’s shared goals and objectives.
