There were also brief discussions on NNC Program updates on the upcoming AIP workshop, other LGU mobilization activities, distribution of IEC materials, and BNS Program concerns.
Furthermore, the NNC Calabarzon shared the recent developments and updates on the inclusion of "stunting" as a minimum requirement for nutrition indicators included in the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
Participants were also informed of the line-up of regional activities and basis for the theme of the 2022 Nutrition Month: "New Normal na Nutrisyon, Sama-Samang Gawan ng Solusyon."
Annually, the NNC conducts MELLPI PRO to check the implementation status of nutrition services of LGUs and Local Nutrition Focal Points (LNFPs) in relation to PPAN.
Subsequently, the results of evaluation from MELLPI PRO shall be the basis for the awarding ceremony to recognize LGUs and LNFPs with exemplary works on nutrition – the most awaited awarding ceremony is called the “Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony.”
