The Regional Development Council (RDC) MIMAROPA, chaired by Romblon Province Governor Jose R. Riano, approved on Friday, 3 June 2022, two (2) Regional Nutrition Committee (RNC) Resolutions, namely RNC Resolution No. 4, s. 2021 - Adopting the Scaling-Up Nutrition (SUN)3.0 Strategy and RNC Resolution No. 1, s. 2022 - Adopting the Implementing Guidelines on Nutrition Shepherding for Effective Nutrition Program Management.
The presentation of the two RNC Resolutions by Social Development Committee Chair Marvi Trudeau was part of the agenda of the 79th Regional Development Council (RDC) Full Council Meeting held at Heritage Hotel Manila in Pasay City, with National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) as Secretariat. The meeting was attended by more than 47 participants representing various regional government agencies, local government units, and development partners in MIMAROPA Region.

National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA conducted orientation on the 2022 Updated Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Pro (MELLPI Pro) Tools on 30 May 2022 via Zoom.
The online activity was attended by more than 80 participants composed of Nutrition Action Officers, District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators, and some members of the local nutrition committee.

Members of the MIMAROPA Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) headed by Regional Program Coordinator Lemuel T. Tabaosares visited the National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA Regional Office on 26 April 2022 for the signing of EPAHP MIMAROPA Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The updated Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro tools for local government units at the City/Municipality level and Local Nutrition Focal Points such as Municipal Nutrition Action Officer and Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator are now available for use which can be accessed at https://bit.ly/2022MELLPIproTools.
MELLPI Pro tools were updated this year from the results of the program implementation review conducted last 2-3 and 11 February 2022 incorporating the comments of the members of National Nutrition Evaluation Team and selected staff of NNC central and regional offices.

The National Nutrition Council (NNC) MIMAROPA Region under the leadership of Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator, Ms. Ma. Eileen B. Blanco, RND, MPA, officially launched the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement 3.0 held on 25 April 2022 via Zoom video conference and via the NNC MIMAROPA’s official Facebook page. An estimated total of 300 participants composed of local nutrition focal points, local chief executives, non-governmental agencies and joined by various representatives from the business network, civil society alliances, developmental partners and from the academe. This event was a significant step forward for NNC MIMAROPA in its efforts to promote health and nutrition for the region's people, as well as in achieving remarkable nutritional outcomes.
