Batuan, Bohol – Backyard gardening is one of the easiest ways to provide food on the table. Many people love to eat vegetables and fruits, especially if these are from their own garden because they can guarantee its safety and freshness. They can also ensure that the food they are serving their families is organically grown and no chemicals added to it.

Since the pandemic started last year, several people lost their jobs and started to feel food-insecure in their respective households. During this time, people are starving. Although the local government unit of Batuan is trying its best to provide “ayuda” or help to all its residents, still it’s not enough to sustain the needs of every household. In fact, it was recorded that there was an increasing number of underweight children 0-59 months old in the municipality during the second semester of 2020 based on the Operation Timbang Plus results.
