ZC Buntis AssemblyOne of the key elements to have a healthy outcome from pregnancy is having appropriate and regular antenatal care (ANC). It is one of the evidence-based interventions to decrease the probability of unfavorable health outcomes for mothers and their newborn babies. It will also prevent complications as well as any possible infection-transmission to their new offspring. This prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT) activity named as the Buntis Assembly was successfully conducted in the City of Zamboanga specifically in the Barangays of Sangali (in their covered court), Bunguiao (Bunguiao Elementary School), Bolong (Bolong Barangay Hall) on April 12,19 & 26, 2022 respectively.

Stoneman SyndromeHave you ever met someone who suffers from Stoneman Syndrome? Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), often known as stone man syndrome, is an extremely rare genetic disorder characterized by ectopic ossification of the skeletal and connective tissues resulting in the gradual union of the axial and appendicular skeleton. This happens when muscle tissue and connective tissue such as tendons and ligaments are gradually replaced by bone (ossification) which will result in an extra-skeletal or heterotopic bone that restricts mobility. This process usually begins in early childhood. It starts from the neck extending to the shoulders and progresses down the body and into the limbs.

Dyshidrotic EczemaDo you have small, itchy blisters on your feet, palms, and fingers? This condition is called Dyshidrotic Eczema, also known as dyshidrosis or pompholyx. It is a skin condition characterized by the formation of blisters on the soles of your feet and/or the palms of your hands and fingers. Blisters can appear as small, red bumps on the fingers and can spread to the backs of hands, limbs, and feet in severe cases. These blisters are typically very itchy and contain fluid. There is no cure, but blisters typically heal in 3-4 weeks. It can also be caused by a variety of factors, such as allergy, genetics, or stress.

It can be found in most kitchens to add flavor to food that we prepare for our family and friends. But the question is, "Is it safe to use MSG? What are its harmful effects?".

While B12 can be stored in the liver for up to five years and if your diet does not help to maintain the normal level, then, you may be at risk of Vitamin B12 deficiency.

PicaPica is a condition in which a person desires or consumes nonfood substances with little nutritional value, such as paint chips or sand. Pica is classified as an eating disorder in most medical books. A person suffering from pica may consume seemingly innocuous products such as ice. Alternatively, they may consume potentially hazardous objects such as dried paint flakes or metal shards. The condition, in the latter situation, might have catastrophic implications that may lead to poisoning. This condition is more common in youngsters and pregnant women. It is typically just temporary. It can also happen to persons with intellectual limitations. For those with significant developmental problems, it is frequently more severe and long-lasting.
