Pregnancy is a crucial stage for both the mother and her baby. The tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine are recommended during each pregnancy regardless of when you had your last Tdap shot or tetanus-diphtheria (Td) vaccination, one dose of Tdap will protect your newborn from whooping cough or pertussis. Ideally, the vaccine should be administered between 27 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Proper hydration is extremely important because our body constantly loses water within the day through urine and sweat excretion including regular body functions like breathing. Not drinking enough water everyday can lead to dehydration. Dehydration occurs when you use or lose more fluid and your body doesn’t have enough water to carry out its normal function. If you don’t replace the fluid that comes out in your body, you’ll get dehydrated which can cause fatigue, headaches, skin problems, muscle cramps, low blood pressure and a rapid heart rate. Furthermore, prolonged dehydration can lead to serious complications like heat injury, urinary and kidney problems, seizures, low blood volume shock (hypovolemic shock) and even organ failure.
