Cebu City—The pandemic has made us feel a lot of emotions that sometimes our brain cannot fully grasp and understand that would often leave us feeling lost. At these times we would feel anxious all the time like being cautious to possible contamination of the virus, or that being alone separated with your loved ones during quarantine or that we often find ourselves unable to go home due to travel restrictions.

One way to relieve those negative emotions is by exercising, whether it’s a thirty-minute jog, two-kilometer bike or hike. Exercising helps your body release endorphins which relieves pain whether physically or emotionally. It also relieves emotional stress and gives your body and mind a sense of relief.

suagr baby

Christmas season is here. And so are all the sweet decadent treats that we all love to have as we celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. But can we share these treats to our baby?

Sugar, in general provides energy to the body. But they lack other necessary nutrients like proteins, fat, vitamins and minerals that are very important for the growing bodies of our babies. Sugar, in excess, can also lead to an increased risk of obesity, dental caries, high blood pressure and diabetes when grown to adults. Furthermore, babies have innate preference for sweetness. So, it is important to give our babies enough time to be familiar with other taste and let their taste buds get familiar with the taste of healthy foods like vegetables, fruits and others that do not contain added sugar.

MIND7 media review

Cebu City – “The pandemic has shown us fragility of life with the sudden loss of some friends and acquaintances because of the virus, the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and having a positive outlook in life, the value of connectedness – the worth of human interaction, which can also be done online. However, this did not hinder our organization to pursue our nutrition advocacies and make a difference in people’s lives.”

These are the words of encouragement delivered by NPC Dr. Parolita A. Mission of NNC 7 in her welcome address during the 2021 MIND 7 Media Review on 29 November 2021 at the Terrazas de Flores Botanical Garden, Cebu City and via zoom conference call.

The blended activity which was attended by twenty-three (23) participants did not only serve as venue to assess the status of the implementation of the 2021 Social and Behavior Change Communication campaign but also formulated the 2022 campaign plan where the group agreed on the goals, key messages, target audience and priority strategies and channel to use.
