Valencia, Bohol - The Municipal Nutrition Committee of Valencia trained their nutrition workers on Idol Ko Si Nanay. The activity was held on 28-30 March 2022 at the ABC Hall and the covered court of the Technical Vocational High School of the municipality, respectively.
Idol Ko Si Nanay Learning Sessions is one of the Early Childhood Care and Development - First 1000 Days Program (ECCD-F1KD) services to complement the Tutok Kainan Supplementation Program. Its key component is the conduct of nutrition education for women planning to get pregnant, pregnant, and lactating women to improve infant and young child feeding practices of participants.

Cebu City - Today, we are seeing a lot of TikTok videos going viral of what is known as Indian street food cooking. This type of cooking is popularly known for using bare hands. Sometimes we question how safe it is and its sanitary value, but people sometimes disregard how clean it is because of its popularity. In the Philippines, we also have similar questions on how safe the street foods here are, from the tempuras to kwek kwek and its sauces. The question lingers: Is street food safe and hygienically prepared, or are we just buying them because of its appeal, taste, and popularity.

Cebu City – NNC 7 calls on lactating women to maximize the provision of Republic Act 10028 or the Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009 during its recent episode of the Educational Health Information Geared Towards Development (e-HISGOT). The technical discussion anchored by NNC 7’s very own RNPC Dr. Parolita A. Mission was one of the recommendations given to a letter sender who shared her problem to Dr. Mission thru the program’s segment “Letters to Doc Letlet”.

Carmen, Cebu - The University of San Carlos Department of Nutrition-Dietetics immersed their fourth-year students in the public health nutrition internship program in Carmen, Cebu. The interns are to have a blended internship program where they are tasked to assist and aid the different barangays of this 3rd class municipality in addressing their nutrition problems.
