Our gut microbiota is different from each other as this can be affected by body mass index, lifestyle and cultural and dietary habits.

The National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA Region participates in the observance of 2021 Women’s Week pursuant to Proclamation No. 244, s. 1988. Annually, we commemorate the first week of March as Women’s Week declared on 1 March 1988.

The Regional Development Council (RDC) MIMAROPA, chaired by Romblon Province Governor Jose R. Riano, approved on Friday, 5 March 2021, the Regional Nutrition Committee (RNC) Resolution No. 2, s. 2020, which seeks to enjoin all local government units (LGUs) to strengthen the integration of nutrition-related programs and projects and scale-up nutrition integration in their 2021-2022 annual investment plans (AIP) to address the current nutritional problems and the possible effects of COVID-19 pandemic in the health and nutrition situation.

Taking good care of the digestive system is essential for an individual’s optimum health and well-being. Recognizing the importance of such, President Rodrigo R. Duterte signed Proclamation No. 930 on 18 March 2020 declaring the second week of March as the “Philippine Digestive Health Week” to raise awareness on diseases and conditions relating to digestive health. This is in line with the provisions of the “Universal Health Care Act” (Republic Act No. 11223) which aims to aid Filipino citizens to be health literate and for the government to deliver proper knowledge on the hazards and risks that could affect their health.

The National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA Region conducted its first joint meeting of Regional Technical Working Group in Nutrition (RTWG), Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) and Early Childhood Care and Development-Technical Working Group (ECCD-TWG) for year 2021 via Zoom Application on 23 February 2021.

National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA joins the world in celebrating the International Women's Day.
Annually, the world celebrates International Women’s Day every 8th of March. This day honors the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, raise awareness on women’s equality and urge for an accelerated gender parity.
