2022 Dec28 NNS ForumCebu City, Cebu – The National Nutrition Council Region VII joins the Department of Science and Technology – Food and Nutrition Institute (DOST-FNRI) as they held a dissemination forum on the result of the 2021-2022 Expanded National Nutrition Survey (ENNS). The forum was held on 29 November 2022 at Golden Prince Hotel, Cebu City. The 2021-2022 ENNS covered a total of 37 local government units: one (1) Highly Urbanized City, and the provinces of Bohol and Negros Oriental in Central Visayas.

The ENNS is a population-based household survey conducted by the DOST-FNRI. The survey provides relevant data on the health and nutrition situation at the provincial/HUC level that may serve as the basis for planning local nutrition actions and other development programs and for crafting timely policy decisions. For the DOST-FNRI to generate results at the Provincial/Highly Urbanized City levels, they carried out a three-year restructured rolling survey design.
