reduce obesityIt's necessary for parents to pay attention to their toddler's weight. A child who is obese has a higher risk of developing a number of serious illnesses, including some that can manifest in early childhood and adolescence. These illnesses include diabetes, heart disease, asthma, high cholesterol, orthopedic issues, some cancers, irregular menstruation, and sleep apnea. Additionally, a lot of obese kids have social and emotional problems like bullying, poor body image, low self-esteem, and discrimination from other kids, all of which can negatively affect the child's self-esteem and even their academic performance. A toddler may not be at danger for any of these immediate effects, but the longer they are overweight, the more likely they are to remain overweight as adults and have linked health problems. As a child ages, it gets harder and harder to move them from the obese group to the healthy weight category. The weight disparity grows as eating and exercise habits soon become established.

Perimenopausal depressionYou probably already know that hot flashes, nocturnal sweats, and vaginal dryness frequently accompany menopause. You might not realize this, though: Depression affects a lot of women. The years preceding menopause, or perimenopause, are when women are most at risk of developing depression, especially those who have a history of the illness. Since many women are unaware of the increased odds, some may mistakenly attribute certain symptoms to menopause alone, such as difficulty sleeping, difficulty focusing, and loss of energy. Busy schedules and preconceived assumptions may discourage women from seeking medical attention, even if they suspect depression. "If it is worsening a person's quality of life, they should not hesitate to ask for assistance. Similar to getting care for your heart or diabetes, finding help for your mental health is a good idea.

Project HopeZamboanga City is tagged as the Sardines Capital of the Philippines because 8 out of 11 major sardines companies in the country are operating in the city. The canning factories converged in the west coast of Zamboanga. However, with the regular annual implementation of fishing bans in the Philippines to re-populate the natural marine resources, most if not all the of the canning factories momentarily stops their operation leaving the factory workers without other means to earn a living but wait until it will be lifted… a financial-depriving situation that burdens this group of labor force to scout on other income generation on their own. This triggers the canning factories as well as the local and the national governments to look for an alternative sustainable livelihood for these affected workers in the meantime that leads to the surfacing of the Project HOPE.
