Despite their minimal requirement in the body, the impact of it is crucial in normal body functioning. Cebu Province - As cases of COVID-19 infection decreases, restriction is slowly lessening, social gatherings are just around the corner because of political rally. Though the rate of infection today is low, we should not let our guard down because our region doesn’t reach the herd immunity yet.

Ronalyn C. Dela Cerna – The American Heart Association (AHA) recommended that the maximum added sugar men should consume is 36 grams or nine teaspoons a day, while women should only consume 24 grams or six teaspoons a day.

Sweeteners are substances that provide your food or drinks with a sweet taste. However, certain sweeteners are harmful, and some are also good and healthy.

Bindoy, Negros Oriental - The Municipal Nutrition Committee thru the Municipal Health Office headed by Dra. Estela B. Tuse, Municipal Health Officer/Municipal Nutrition Action Officer of this 3rd class municipality has recently hired new set of Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs). Twelve (12) BNSs were added to the eleven (11) frontline nutrition workers who were earlier recruited to coordinate the nutrition program in their respective barangays. The mass hiring was proposed by the Expanded Local Health Board & Municipal Nutrition Committee Meeting and subsequently approved by the Local Chief Executive when all the 23 old BNSs quitted and chose to become Barangay Health Workers.
