Nutrikomiks Series 2 entitled “Nutrition in Emergencies: Labanan ang gutom at malnutrisyon sa panahon ng kalamidad” can provide a great deal of disaster risk reduction in times of calamities. It can significantly boost the Local Nutrition Cluster’s (LNC) response for “Nutrition in Emergencies” and “Food Preparedness” in adversities.
The Nutrikomiks contains checklists that serve as a guide for the LNC and communities for greater preparedness and resiliency and for preventing the worsening of the nutritional status of vulnerable groups (children under five years old, pregnant women, lactating mothers, senior citizen and person-with-disability). It also contains a showcase of different disaster scenarios and the various levels of calamities faced by the affected people in LGUs.
