ro12 rdc12The Regional Development Council (RDC) passed Resolution No. 94, series of 2011, A Resolution Requesting the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) XII to Issue a Circular/Directive Requiring All Bus Operators in Region XII to Designate a Breastfeeding Seat/Corner Inside Buses.

This is in support to the implementation of Republic Act 10028 or also known as the "Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009".

In response to the aforementioned resolution, LTFRB XII issued a directive dated 23 August 2011 to bus operators in the region requesting for their compliance, thus, a prominent signange on the provided facility must be placed in order that the seat for breastfeeding is specifically occupied by lactating mothers in the bus . In line with this, the Committee further recommended that the 3rd seat by the window of buses may be designated as breastfeeding seat.
