Concluding their decision and incorporating it on their 2016 Work and Financial Plan, the Federation of Barangay Nutrition Scholars’ Association Region 7, Inc. aims to send off their peers from the Negros Oriental province who has been separated from Central Visayas thru the formation of the new Negros Island Province in 2015.
Because ties with said province still lie with Central Visayas in 2016, the organization has decided during its 2015 Program Implementation Review (PIR) and 2016 Planning activity to shift focus on Negros Oriental specifically on ensuring that local (provincial/city/municipal) associations are intact and that each barangay be provided with a BNS.
That in mind, the PIR/Planning activity held on 08-09 December 2015 at the City of Naga, Cebu, voted to conduct activities in the province such as the 1st Q meeting, a learning visit to the Bayawan City-based FNRI-DOST BIGMO Production plant and to tentatively hold the Regional Congress in the same city. Other activities include providing technical assistance to local BNS associations as well as to campaign for the recruitment of BNSs in municipalities that have limited number of BNSs.
