– The National Nutrition Council – Regional Office I (NNC-ROI) warmly welcomed the three (3) Nutrition and Dietetics students: Ms. Bea Mica C. Caluza, Ms. Van Ira C. Ulatan and Ms. Mia Gail P. Payapay from Benguet State University (BSU), La Trinidad, Benguet for their public health nutrition practicum from April to May 2017 to complete the required two hundred fifty (250) hours.SAN FERNANDO CITY, LA UNION – The National Nutrition Council – Regional Office I (NNC-ROI) warmly welcomed the three (3) Nutrition and Dietetics students: Ms. Bea Mica C. Caluza, Ms. Van Ira C. Ulatan and Ms. Mia Gail P. Payapay from Benguet State University (BSU), La Trinidad, Benguet for their public health nutrition practicum from April to May 2017 to complete the required two hundred fifty (250) hours.

This will be an opportunity for the National Nutrition Council to expose these young minds and future nutrition advocates to the actual activities in nutrition program management.

The trainees are expected to experience the Nutrition Program Management Cycle from nutritional assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation.

Bayambang, Pangasinan - In the active leadership of Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao, the LGU of Bayambang is now ready for the first stage of implementation through the roll out of trainings on food production project of the Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days (ECCD-F1K) Program. Mr. Fernando Quijalvo, the municipal agricultural technician presented the approved food production plan for Calendar Year 2017 during the special meeting of the municipal nutrition and financial committee last April 20, 2017.Bayambang, Pangasinan - In the active leadership of Mayor Cezar T. The project entitled “Gulayan sa Bakuran, Barangay at Paaralan” aims to provide families in the community on basic and technical know-how on production of good quality and high value vegetables for their own consumption. Through application of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), households are given opportunity to produce safe and nutritious vegetables that will serve as a source of alternative income and livelihood to support their basic needs.

Mula pa noong elementarya maging sa mga babasahin, ipinahiwatig na sa atin na ang mga dimensiyon ng ating kalusugan ay pisikal, mental o intelektuwal, emosyonal, sosyal, environmental at espiritwal. Sa lahat ng nabanggit, bigyang-pansin natin ang pisikal na siyang may napakalawak na sakop kung kaya’t ito ay itinuturing na pinakakritikal sa ating kalusugan.

(RAGE-1) joined the inter-agency event entitled “Serbisyo para kay Juan at Juana” last March 27, 2017 at the atrium of CSI Mall, San Fernando City, La Union.San Fernando City, La Union – In celebration with the National Women’s Month, the National Nutrition Council (NNC) in partnership with Region-1 Advocates for Gender Equality, Inc. The event was hosted by Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC) while participating agencies were the Department of Health, Commission on Population, National Nutrition Council, Department of Labor and Employment, Commission on Higher Education, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, Civil Service Commission, National Police Commission, Commission on Human Rights, Department of Foreign Affairs and Department of Science and Technology.

Ms. Mary Gene S. Contic, Ms. Andreissa Fae S. Ranchez and Mr. Nicholo Adrianne Lozano represented NNC RO I and offered nutrition services such as weight and height measurement, determining body mass index and desirable body weight, assessing nutritional status as well as nutrition counselling and promotion of 10 Kumainments.

NPC Ma. Eileen Blanco and PNC Andreissa Fae Ranchez handed the cheque to MNAO Venus Bueno and Municipal Treasurer Luisita Danaw as representative of Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao and witnessed by the members of the municipal nutrition committee (MNC) and financial committee of the local government of Bayambang last April 20, 2017 during the NEWS Consultative Workshop.Bayambang, Pangasinan – In one of the newest nutrition programs of NNC, the National Nutrition Council Regional Office I and municipal government of Bayambang, Pangasinan once again joined forces for the implementation of Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days (ECCD F1K) Program. After a series of social preparations, the NNC ROI turned-over the fund for ECCD F1K program activities amounting to Php 5, 422, 118.00 during the special meeting and cheque turnover ceremony held at Ariel and Fe Garden Resort and Restaurant, Tambac, Bayambang, Pangasinan last April 20, 2017.

NPC Ma. Eileen Blanco and PNC Andreissa Fae Ranchez handed the cheque to MNAO Venus Bueno and Municipal Treasurer Luisita Danaw as representative of Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao and witnessed by the members of the municipal nutrition committee (MNC) and financial committee of the local government of Bayambang. This was commemorated after the consultative workshop of the recently joint project on Nutrition Early Warning System for Food and Nutrition Security.
