With the recent resumption of the MELLPI Pro, the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) Calabarzon will be using the new supplementary and implementing guidelines and updated tools, integrated in the context of Covid-19 and other emergencies and disasters, to assess the progress of the implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) at the local level.
MELLPI Pro or Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol, is a great opportunity to provide assistance to the LGUs and the Local Nutrition Focal Points (LNFPs) by giving timely and relevant recommendations based on the contextualized results of the evaluation.

Kamakailan ay inanunsyo ng National Nutrition Council ang ika-47 Nutrition Month Campaign na may temang “Malnutrisyon Patuloy na Labanan: First 1000 Days Tutukan!” Ang tema na inaprubahan ng NNC Technical Committee noong Marso 5, at inaasahan na ito ay mapapalawak pa ang kamalayan ukol sa mga pangangailangang pangkalusugan ng mga buntis, ina at bata na sakop ng First 1000 days.
Kaya naman inaanyayahan ng NNC Calabarzon ang mga LGUs, pribadong sector, at mamamayan ng CaLaBaRZon na ipalaganap ang tema at makilahok sa mga programang kaugnay ng Nutrition Month Campaign. Bukod dito, nanawagan ang NNC Calabarzon sa mga stakeholders na ituon ang pagsisikap sa pag lusong ng stratehiya ng “First 1000 days of life” upang tuluyang maiwasan ang stunting o pagkabansot at obesity o labis na timbang ng mga bata.

The “Training on the Management of LHEARN” in Tagaytay City was finally completed last Feb. 22 to 24 and 26, through the help of its resource persons: Ms. Abigail Pabro, NO III, Ms. Queenie Amosco, NO II (both from NNC-Central Office); and Ms. Eireen Villa from Alcanz International.
In her welcome message, NPC Carina Santiago acknowledged each Tagaytay LHEARN Team members for devoting their time and effort to attend the LHEARN training. NPC Santiago also challenged the future success of the Tagaytay City LHEARN Team and the Nutrition Learning Hub (NLH), being the first in the CaLaBaRZon Region.

Ang roll out ng Nutrition in Emergencies and Information Management (NiE-IM) Training ay isinusulong na sa lungsod ng Calamba upang maging handa ang buong mamamayan nito laban sa mga kalamidad na madalas nilang maranasan.
Ang roll-out ng training ay ipapatupad sa 54 barangays, at ito ay inaasahang matapos sa loob ng tatlong taon o sa 2024. Kaya naman, mga 15 barangays ang target na turuan kada taon.

NNC Calabarzon has expressed its support for the 2021 implementation of the redesigned School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) of DedEd, for mitigating malnutrition and strategically promoting the nutritional status of children in the region.
It was an alternate ration of 50 days for “milk feeding” -- and 60 days for the “nutritious food products feeding” consisting of fruits in season, or of either fortified and enriched bread.

Kamakailan lamang ay nakipag-ugnayan ang NNC–CaLaBaRZon sa CNN-4A para sa pre testing ng "Nutrikomiks Series 7” upang makasiguro sa kalidad at pagiging epektibo ng bagong ilalabas na IEC (Information, Education and Communication) material para sa mga buntis.
Ang ika-7 Series ng Nutrikomiks na pinamagatang "Maayos, at Ligtas na Pagbubuntis, Ating Tiyakin.” ay tumatalakay sa pangangalaga sa nutrisyon ng mga buntis. Ang pretesting ay dinaluhan ng 23 na mga buntis mula sa Barangay Balite sa Rodriguez, Rizal.
